Smoothie Series : Coconut Smoothie

Today Smoothie Series Coconut Series.
Ingredients
 1 Coconut fruit
 1/4 cup of Chai seed
Water/ coconut water extract


Procedure:
Coconut smoothie is one of the smoothie I am totally obsessed with. Very easy to make , all the ingredients are readily available in our local market here in Nigeria.

The Major base for this is the coconut milk which in my own way I love to prepare it at home. Get one  coconut fruit, separate the coconut meat from the bark, grate and blend using water as a base/ coconut water extract. After Blending, sieve out to separate the milk from  the residue and you have your milk which is the main ingredients for the smoothie.

Pour into a smoothie jar/cup, sprinkle with the desired amount of chai seed refrigerate to cool and serve . For extra crunchiness, you can grate some coconut and sprinkle around the juice.
 This particular drink reminds me so much of the beach life in the Caribbean. Some times,  instead of using water, I love to use the coconut water for that extra coconut taste.
